Quality assured and precise control
We accept only the highest grade raw materials at our manufacturing facility in Augy, France. Stringent quality tests are carried out before materials are unloaded and standards are rigorously upheld throughout the manufacturing process in our drive to keep variability to an absolute minimum.
SDS® implements a Quality Management System approved standards – a certification that covers all aspects of manufacture, quality control, storage, distribution and training. Our production at the diets plant in Augy is following the GV-Solas Guildelines and is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 as well as FSSC 22000.
Clean production
Our production process and facilities are very tightly managed and controlled to prevent crosscontamination, bacteriological risk, and high bioburden. As an example, the use of antibiotics as well as liquid additives is prohibited in the production line for standard diets. Furthermore, all production equipment is thoroughly deep cleaned on a regular basis.
Irradiated
All products can be irradiated to levels specified by the customer; levels of 10 kGy or 25 kGy are common and sufficient for most barrier applications, whereas 40 kGy is recommended for germ-free isolators.
Safe storage
The SDS® specialised manufacturing process ensures a nutritionally stable and microbiologically clean end product across all diet ranges. All standard and SQC products have a twelve month shelf life when stored in a cool, dry environment. Our own storage facilities have been designed to provide the best possible protection; directly after packaging products are transferred to an environmentally monitored and vermin proofed warehouse, equipped with forced ventilation and controlled lighting.
